DESCRIPTION:
Japy Fils, Paris, France, figural mystery clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with conical pendulum in a white alabaster case on cast feet with applied gilt ornaments, surmounted by a gilt female figure holding the pendulum aloft, Roman numeral white enamel dial, and gilt spade hands.
CONDITION:
Generally very good original condition. The gilt statue has some losses to gilding that was applied later. It is still quite bright and presents well. There are some minor losses to the alabaster on corners. All of the ormolu trim appears intact. Enamel dial is nearly perfect. The point at the bottom of the pendulum will need to be straightened a little. Beveled glass is missing from the back door of the case.
